Getting started

First things first

Before you try some of the more advanced features let's go over the basics.

Drag & drop designer gives you total control of your website by allowing you to literally drag and then drop elements of each page around. By elements we mean that each page has a number of boxes which come together to make up a page. It's these boxes that you can move, delete or edit.

An example is a page with a logo, navigation, a left column and then two boxes to the side of the main content. Each of these aspects would be set as an element (a box) and you can then rearrange them should you wish.

When you are logged into drag & drop designer you can move your mouse over the web page and you will see the faint lines that surround each element change colour when your move over it. At this point you will see the controls for that element, should you wish to edit the content, change it's look, duplicate it or delete it.

We recommend that the best way to ensure a professional and consistent look to your website is to get one page as you want it and then duplicate that page for the other pages on your site. If you have already created your pages you can copy the design of one page on your site onto another page, but when you do this you will loose any content that you have added onto that page.
